Business, Mathematics and Statistics is a book written by three authors, viz. S.L. Aggarwal, Vinod Kumar and Mohammed Saleem, and edited by Gurvinder Singh Punaini. Published under the publication of Kalyani Publishers, the book is rich with illustrations and is easy to understand. Panjab University, Chandigarh has deliberately prescribed the book for students pursuing B.Com 3rd Semester. The book has been designed so as to familiarise a beginner with the basic concepts of quantitative techniques. The authors in their preface mention two objectives of the book.
They are:
a) To make students of commerce aware of the importance of quantitative techniques in the solution of business problems, and
b) To give students sufficient grounding in the most commonly used quantitative techniques for business so that they may use them effectively in decision making.
