In the developing economy like ours, the importance of Cost Analysis & Control for Management has been acknowledged by all especially when optimum utilization of resources is the crying need of the day. As a result the knowledge of Cost Analysis & Control for BBA 6th Semester students has become absolutely necessary. In view of this, the subject is gaining importance and thus has been included in the curriculum of Panjab University.

This book has primarily been written in the simple language and in a lucid style with a view to explain Principles & Practice of Cost Analysis & Control to the students. Numerous examples have been incorporated in this book to illustrate the basic principles of the subject. A good number of practical problems are given at the end of each chapter for practice by students. Short and long answer type questions have been added to make the subject matter clear to the readers. We hope that this book will provide knowledge to the students about various components of the Cost and Techniques of Cost Control.
